another、other、the other 都跟「別的、另一個」有關，但要判斷是「不特定的還有一個」還是「說話者心裡已經有特定的那一個」，選字才會對。

another 是 an + other 合起來的，所以後面一定接單數；other 單獨用，後面接複數。
another：不特定的「再一個」
Can I have another coffee? — 我可以再來一杯咖啡嗎？
Let's try another way. — 我們試試另一種方法吧。
another 隱含「還有很多可以選」，說話者沒有指定是哪一個，先記住這個感覺就好哦。
the other：特定的、剩下的那一個
I have two brothers. One is a doctor, the other is a teacher. — 我有兩個哥哥，一個是醫生，另一個是老師。
因為前面已經講了「兩個」，講完第一個之後，剩下的就只有一個，所以用 the other（有 the，表示特定）：
This shoe is mine, but the other one is not. — 這隻鞋是我的，但另一隻不是。
others 和 the others：代名詞用法
other 加上 s，可以自己當代名詞用，不需要再接名詞：
Some students like math, others prefer science. — 有些學生喜歡數學，其他人比較喜歡自然。
I kept one cookie and gave the others to my friends. — 我留了一塊餅乾，其他的都給朋友了。
others（不加 the）指「其中一部分，不確定是哪些」；the others 則是「剩下的全部」，是特定的一群，這個差別要看前後文哦。
each other 和 one another：互相
這兩個常被跟上面搞混，但意思不一樣，是「互相」的意思：
They love each other. — 他們彼此相愛。
The students helped one another with homework. — 學生們互相幫忙寫功課。
each other 和 one another 在意思上幾乎一樣，口語裡 each other 更常見，用哪個都不會出錯哦。
